Using Visa and Mastercard Gift Cards Internationally
Gift Card Granny-issued Visa and Mastercard gift cards are valid only within the United States. However, if you’ve received a reward card from a company, it may be valid for use in some countries outside the U.S.
How to Distinguish Between Gift and Reward Cards:
- Check the upper right-hand corner of your card to determine whether it's a gift or reward card.

For Purchasers:
- If you sent a digital gift card to someone located outside of the U.S., contact us to reassign the digital gift card to your email address or send it to a new recipient within the U.S.
- Refunds are not available for international recipients.

Gift cards obtained through our Corporate Program may be recognized in some countries outside the USA. However, please note the following key details:
- Foreign Transactions: We cannot dispute any declined transactions in foreign countries. If the card is used outside of the U.S., a 3% currency conversion fee will be deducted from your available card balance.
- Local Monetary Policies: Each country has its own regulations regarding the use of prepaid cards, which may change without prior notice.

- Afghanistan
- Belarus
- Cuba
- Iran
- North Korea
- Russia
- Sudan
- Syria
- Ukraine (Crimea Region)
- Venezuela
