Why do I need a PIN?

Using Your Gift Card with a PIN

You have the option to create or update your PIN during card activation or when checking your card's balance.

In-Store Purchases:

• Your plastic Visa or Mastercard gift card can be used like a regular debit card.
• When swiping at the register, select the Debit option and enter your 4-digit PIN.
• If you prefer not to enter a PIN, simply press the green button on the card machine when prompted.

Online Purchases:

• A PIN is not required for online transactions.
• If you’re using your card online and are asked for a PIN, ensure you’re entering your card information in the credit/debit card section, not the gift card section.

Virtual Cards:

• Virtual Visa and Mastercard gift cards do not have a PIN option, as they are meant for online purchases only.
