Reporting a Stolen Gift Card
If your Visa or Mastercard gift card has been stolen, follow these steps:
- Report the Stolen Card: Immediately notify our support team about the stolen card.
- Card Deactivation & Reissue: In some cases, we may be able to deactivate and reissue the card. A processing fee of $5 will apply, deducted from your card balance. The replacement card will be shipped via USPS First Class mail (without tracking).
- Unauthorized Charges: Gift Card Granny is not responsible for unauthorized transactions. To dispute unauthorized charges, you must directly contact the merchant where the purchase was made.
Information Needed for Investigation
To help us investigate, please provide as much of the following information as possible:
- Was there a name on the card?
- Do you have the carrier (the paper the card was attached to at delivery)?
- Do you know the last 4 digits of the card?
- What was the shipping address of the original card?
- Did you use the card? If so, where and what was the value of the last purchase?
- Do you have a receipt for the purchase?
If you still have the carrier, please provide the Unique Card ID number located on the bottom right corner of the carrier.
If none of this information is available, you may need to contact the buyer/sender for any record of the card.
