Can I add my gift card to my Apple or Google Mobile Wallet?

Yes, VISA and Mastercard gift cards issued by Gift Card Granny on or after March 3, 2025 can be added to an Apple Wallet or Google Wallet. Cards issued prior to that date cannot be added.

Have a Visa gift card?

Have a Mastercard gift card?

• You need to verify it first. Follow the steps below. 
   

Verify your Mastercard gift card

Step 1

• If your card is already in your wallet and you see a message to contact your bank or card issuer, remove the card from your wallet.
• If the card is not in your wallet, move to Step 2.

Step 2

• Visit https://www.giftcardgranny.com/activate/ and enter your 16-digit card number and CVV.

Step 3

• Click Add to Wallet.

Step 4

• Enter the cardholder’s phone number or email address when prompted.

Step 5

• Open your Apple Wallet or Google Wallet and follow their prompts to finish adding your card. See below for more specific instructions.

Add your gift card to your Apple Wallet

NOTE: Make sure you have the 16-digit account number, expiration date (MM/YY), and 3-digit CVV as those are needed to add your gift card to your Apple Wallet. 

• If you have a physical gift card, these will be printed on the card.
• If you have a digital gift card, reference the email or text you received with your digital gift to access those codes.

Step 1

• Open the Wallet app on your Apple device. 

Step 2

• Tap the + button. 

Step 3

• Select Debit or Credit Card. 

Step 4

• Select Enter Card Details Manually.
  • You will need to enter:
    • Your Name
    • Card Number (16 digits and same as the Account Number)
    • Expiration Date (MM/YY and same as the “Valid Thru” or “Good Thru” date on the card)
    • Security Code (the 3-digit CVV)

Step 5

• Click “Agree” to the Terms and Conditions.
• You can choose if you want to make the gift card your default card in your Apple wallet. Then, the card will be automatically selected when you use Apple Pay. 
• Either way, the gift card will be available for purchases until the balance is used.  
   

Add your gift card to your Google Wallet

Step 1

Open the Google Wallet app. If needed, download it from the Google Play Store. 
 

Step 2

• Tap the + button.  

Step 3

• Select Payment card.
• Select New debit or credit card. 

Step 4

• Scan your card with your phone’s camera or
• Enter the details manually.
  • You will need to enter the 16-digit code followed by the expiration date (MM/YY) and the 3-digit CVV code.
  • Click Save and Continue. 

Step 5

• Follow the prompts to verify your card. You may receive a code by text or email.
• Accept the Issuer terms. 

Your card is now in your Google wallet and ready for use!
