When a Gift Card Granny eGift is claimed, it is permanently linked to the account that claimed it. It cannot be transferred to or accessed from a different account — even if you use the same email address or device.
How this happens This most commonly occurs in households where multiple people share a device or email service. If someone else opened the eGift link first — such as through a shared inbox or Google account — their account claimed it. Any attempt to access the eGift from a different account will show it as already claimed.
How to get back to your eGift The eGift is accessible only through the original account that claimed it. To retrieve it:
- Identify which account was used when the eGift was first opened.
- If you signed in with Google, sign back in using that same Google account.
- Once logged in to the correct account, you should be able to view and use your eGift.
If you're not sure which account claimed it Try any Google or email accounts that may have been used on the device where the eGift was first opened. If you're still unable to locate it, contact Gift Card Granny support with your order details and we'll help identify the claiming account.
Important: For security reasons, eGifts cannot be moved between accounts. This is a one-time, permanent claim.
